Mental Health

Mental health is essential to our overall well-being, and I am committed to ensuring that every Utahn has access to quality care. As the chair of the Education and Mental Health Council and a member of the Behavioral Health Crisis Response Commission, I’m proud to announce the creation of the Utah Behavioral Health Commission. This new initiative brings together public and private mental health providers, experts, advocates, and individuals with lived experience to create a unified and efficient approach to mental health and substance use care.

The commission will set clear goals, advise on policy, and ensure accountability for a better vision for mental health in Utah. We're committed to helping both urban and rural communities by working with employers and healthcare providers to ensure no Utahn is left behind. Together, we can expand access and build a healthier, stronger Utah.
